What to Expect at Your Auto Glass Appointment
Modern windshields often include ADAS safety cameras and sensors that power features like lane-keep assist and automatic braking. Replacing or repairing your glass means a specific setup process, and in many cases, a camera calibration. Here is what to expect whether we come to you or you come to us.
A Note on Chip Repairs: Structural, Not Cosmetic
A chip repair is a structural repair, not a cosmetic one. We inject resin into the damage to restore strength and stop it from spreading — not to make it disappear. The chip will still be visible afterward; that's a normal, expected result.
There's also a small chance the chip spreads while we inject the resin — we're not responsible if this happens, since the damage was already there before we start. A repair is an attempt to salvage the windshield, not a guarantee. If the chip spreads, a full replacement is needed, and there is no way to make a second attempt at a repair.
Required for All Appointments (In-Shop or Mobile)
SERVICE TIME: 60–90 minutes for a standard windshield; 1.5–2.5 hours (sometimes more) if calibration is needed.

CLEAR THE FRONT SEATS
If You Choose Mobile Service
We schedule three appointment windows: Morning (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM), Afternoon (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM), or All Day (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).

1. WEATHER RESTRICTIONS
Our adhesive is sensitive to moisture and temperature, so mobile appointments are weather-permitting. Without a clean, covered space to work, rain or snow means rescheduling — or you can always book in-shop instead to avoid weather delays.

2. PREPARING YOUR SPACE
Please make sure your space meets these requirements before we arrive:
Off-Street Parking: A driveway or private lot — we can't work on vehicles parked on a busy street.
Room to Move: Enough space to fully open both front doors and for the technician to walk all the way around the vehicle.
Van Accessibility: Our van needs to park on the side, front, or rear of your vehicle — it's the mobile workshop and power source.
Level, Paved Ground: For static calibration, the vehicle must sit on flat, paved ground — gravel, dirt, grass, and paver stones aren't sufficient. Calibration also needs open space in front of the vehicle, up to 30 feet for some vehicles. Let us know ahead of time if any of this won't work so we can plan an alternative or discuss an in-shop appointment.

3. TEST DRIVING YOUR VEHICLE
Some safety systems require driving on public roads at highway speeds (35–60 mph) so the cameras can align to real road lines. Bright sun, faded lines, or uneven roads can interfere, and the tech may need to drive further to find good conditions. If conditions repeatedly block calibration, you'll need to bring the vehicle into our shop to finish the process.
In-Shop Service
Booking in-shop is the quickest way to guarantee your service happens on time, safe from weather or road delays.

1. SHOP TIMELINE
The adhesive needs mandatory curing time before the vehicle can be driven, so plan for:
SERVICE TYPE
EST. TIME
Standard Windshield
60–90 minutes
Windshield with Calibration
1.5–2.5 hours on average, sometimes more.

2. PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME
In-shop appointments are booked for a specific time to keep our schedule on track. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean rescheduling.
APPOINTMENT PREP OVERVIEW
A few minutes of prep — checking your fuel level, clearing clutter, and making sure the vehicle is free of snow and parked on level ground — helps us complete the job safely, avoid delays, and get you back on the road on schedule.
